  • so rode a bike for the first time in so damn long the other day because i was too damn lazy to walk to the front side of the campus like how i've been doing EVERY DAY almost.  lemme tell you, its crap.  it takes about 20 minutes fast walking too just to get from where our dorms are (at the back gate) to the front gate of the campus.  way annoying becuase there are so many more cooler stuff there.  blah. haha but yeah, going on with the story.  and so i had to lock the bike up and where you would do so was near a whole bunch of bushes.  i had to like get really close to the bushes to lock up the tires and while doing so, i got like attacked by a whole bunch of mosquitoes and got bite everywhere.  SO ANNOYING becuase these are like the really big and poisonous bites and they itch like mad!  ugh.  i hope i don't get any scars from them.  blah. so here i am updating my xanga and scratching away...

ooh but during that...so there were 4 of us with 3 bikes.  and so we decided taht me and my roomate angels would ride together on tina's bike and the other 2 would ride the other 2 bikes.  buuuut....halfway through the middle of campus, the rear wheel of the bike gives out and pops, bends, breaks, DIES basically. hahah.  the sound of the wheel popping was so loud that everyone around just stopped and stared at us and the now broken bike. hahaha.  it was pretty damn funny. haha and dude, its not because we are like fat or anything, but more becuase that bike was so crappy and like, rusting (so afraid to ride bikes here because who knows if we will contract friggin tetanus or some other disease from metal~ crediting friggin dave for that comment...*sigh* what a baby...) that it was bound to break soon anyway. haha yeah, not a good idea to suppose 2 people on that bike apparently...

what else has happened lately?  well, found a vietnamese place and ate some pho and vietnamese food.  it was ok.  they sold vietnamese sandwiches for $3!!! thats insane.  most food here is less than $1 and even so, those sandwiches are more than what i pay for back at home.  sheesh.

OOOh.  went to ktv for like the very first time on thursday.  twas fun.  am surprised at my ability to read chinese songs now on the screen.  i must say, am starting to like jay chow songs now...but only his slow songs cause his fast songs are pretty much ass...sorry if i've offended any jay chow lovers out there. hahaah i'm doing my homework and learning some of his songs before i go to his concert in taipei on oct. 2.  yes everyone, i was going to attend a concert of an artist whose work i knew nothing of...but never fear...for i am being cultured right as we speak. hahhaa

um...OOH...hahah went to a friggin like self-righteous, investment, cult type meeting today and it was pretty wack.  i can't believe these people it was kinda like one of those classrooms with like a person speaking into the mic and just talking about stories and random crap.  why you ask that i went then?  well, i didn't know what i was getting myself into when dave dragged me to go with him, as well as marilyn, to it and as it turned out, dave didn't really know what it was about before we went too. hahaa. but yeah, the guy just went rambling on and on about random ass crap and like, everyone was referring to him as teacher in a very respective manner( lao shi) and all chanting random shit in the back.  hella people were like writing down notes and copying what he wrote on the blackboard and  we were all just sorta like what is going on here!  and unfortunately for me, i was next to this lady who kept burping for lke 20 minutes straight.  like..straight up burping.  ugh.  it was damn annoying.  and then people were also constantly like spraying mouth spray or whatever all throughout the horrendous 1hr and 15 minutes we were there.  hahaha  i kept hearing that spitz spitz spitz sound and it was driving me nuts.  i couldn't wait to get out of there.  thank god at 9, the time it was suppose to be over, dave made up an excuse and just got up and led the way out, even though the "lao shi" was still talking. haha.  it was quite the absurd experience.  hahaa.  dave treated both me and marilyn later to some hot pot because of the hell he put us through.  it was delish!  (there, yah happy??? i didn't say SO GOOD...ass...) but yeah, dave will update soon and i'll just copy and paste what he writes because he simply is like the best writer in the world.  a big ha-ha-ha.

anyway...to sum it up, because i'm sure half of you just skipped what i wrote and went straight for the pictures:  massive mosquitoe bites, rusty old bike's rear tire broke, ate vietnamese food, went karoaking, attended a crazy cult meeting, ate some damn good hot pot.  enough words now.  here are some picture from our night out at MOS (ministry of sound):

deciding what to wear...so it seems. hahaha helen stuck some of these $2 stuft pig animals into her shirt...and phoebe touches in disbelief haha

the MOS sign on the floor to the entrance of the 3 story club:

    us outside after clubbing

gross..can you see all the smoke??? yuck.  the white guy's duncan.  he lives on our floor and he's from australia.

the entrance to MOS.  pretty spankin.  i really like this club.

at lai lai dou jiang right after clubbing. hehehe such satisfying food at the wee hours of the night. well, not really, it was only 2 am.  yeah, we get clubbed out pretty early here.  i blame it on old age

sorry about the different sizes of pictures.  yes, this is the work of a berkeley engineer..and as a berkeley engineer, i am also too lazy to fix what isn't entirely aesthetic.  deal with it.
