    2 MINUTE MANAGEMENT COURSE

Lesson One- An eagle was sitting on a tree resting, doing nothing. A small rabbit saw the eagle and asked him, "Can I also sit like you and do nothing? The eagle answered: "Sure, why not." So, the rabbit sat on the ground below the eagle, and rested. All of a sudden, a fox appeared, jumped on the Rabbit and ate it.

Management Lesson - To be sitting and doing nothing, you must be sitting very, very high up.

    ****************************************************************
Lesson Two- A turkey was chatting with a bull. "I would love to be

Able to get to the top of that tree," sighed the turkey, "but I haven't got the energy." "Well, why don't you nibble on some of my droppings?", Replied the bull. They're packed with nutrients." The turkey pecked at a lump of dung, found it actually gave him enough strength to reach the lowest branch of the tree. The next day, after eating some more dung, he reached the second branch. Finally after a fourth night, he was proudly perched at the top of the tree. Soon he was promptly spotted by a farmer, who shot the turkey out of the tree.

Management Lesson - Bull Shit might get you to the top, but it won't keep you there.
    ****************************************************************
Lesson Three - A little bird was flying south for the winter. It

was so cold the bird froze and fell to the ground in a large field. While it was lying there, a cow came by and dropped some dung on it. As the frozen bird lay there in the pile of cow dung, it began to realize how warm it was. The dung was actually thawing him out! He lay there all warm and happy, and soon began to sing for joy. A passing cat heard the bird singing and came to investigate. Following the sound, the cat discovered the bird under the pile of Cow dung, and promptly dug him out and ate him.

    Management Lesson -

    (1) Not everyone who shits on you is your enemy.

    (2) Not everyone who gets you out of shit is your friend.

    (3) And when you're in deep shit, it's best to keep your mouth shut!

  • spiderman 2 was the most awesomest.  *sigh*.    i really liked it.  and to those who said it sucked or was ok...you suck!  hmph!

made a promise to myself to go running 2 miles everyday around the track or go swimming.  anyone care to join me?

  • so while walking to work this morning, i have to pass by rasputin music and they have a whole bunch of new cd endorses hanging up there...like basically a blown up picture of their album cover.  guess who's album i see hanging up there?  friggin william hung's inspiration cd.  oh man...what the has world come to.

but anyway...now the just a few words and phrases on memoirs of the awesome vegas trip:

delayed airplanes, extreme exhaustion, Lucky's Restaurant where we were dying of hunger, Statosphere cancer pool (aka deb turning really dark) haha no..the pool was awesome, extreme weather (105 degrees during the day, mid 90's at night...wtf???  death weather is what i call it), walking down the strip almost passing out from heat stroke...

... in hot pursuit of cheap blue man tickets that failed and we ended up purchasing them over the phone like what we should have done in the first place hahaha, annoying lil people on the street passing out those repulsive "young girls!" fliers and making those slapping noises, hMMmm $17 bellagio buffet for lunch and dinner (ahha we stayed from 3:45-6, eating), crab legs!!!, piles and piles of wonderous desserts, coffee that made me insanely hyper, "if you are going to order drinks, order it all together" *ahem ahem marilyn* hahaha, taking pictures and pictures and more pictures, blue man show!!!- marshmallows and toilet paper galore!!!, awesome music, scary blue men, oOOh some many stares from the male species, and oh how so many of these groups of men were celebrating in a "bachelor party" (for reals, all these groups of guys who came up to us like singled out a guy in their group and said it was his bachelor party..such BS! haha), angella's rear end grabbing too many black guys attention...oh wait...no, just guys attention in general! hahaha, a lot of turning heads on the casino and attention might i add, surely a lot of "god damn!'s", partying it up at rumjungle, me and ang almost getting into a fight with some dumb bitch (*remember: "whats the fucks your problem bitch????"  aaaaaaaaahahahahha) and calliea had to hold us back, hair pulling and alcohol spillage, hot go go dancers, meeting lots of smart guys at the club apparently and having the pimpette work it for drinks  or just working it in general  , day one of clubbing with heels= very, very, painful feet by the end of the night, everyone with a great buzz and partying it up like crazy til the end of the night...rather 4am in the morning hehehe, me with a really, really, fabulous buzz for the first time in a while, trying to speak korean to a korean taxi driver that drove us back home (trying really hard not to say that one word thats pretty vulgar in korean-you know what i'm talking about sarah ), soaking dead feet in the jaccuzzi in our king suite, all the girls prancing around in their underwear (and oh what a guy would give just to be in that room with us that night! hahaha), people tickling me and taking blackmail photos...

...starving ourselves and then eating one meal at a buffet where we stuff ourselves i've learned is no good hahaha, apparently we all wore the same thing that day when we went out shopping-everyone in a skirt and a tank top, dinner at eiffel tower restaurant (special guest appearance by alan!!!) where once again we wore practically the same thing-everyone was in a black dress. hahaha talk about variety, eh? haha we looked like the asian mafia! haha no.  we looked awesome...just kinda weird to have everyone wearing all black,  they had hella good service...loved it!, hahaha more "god damn!'s" and in a good way of course, ooOOooH limo!!!, cruised around and took pictures at hotels, CLUB RAIN! thank goodness for VIP tickets..waited only like about 15 minutes and thats only becuase the club was just still opening up when we arrived, too bad alan couldn't get in , had the grandess time at club rain, awesome music and mood, hahaa, once again everyone's buzzed thanks to free drinks!!! whoo hoo!, sarah and her stilletos, hanging out poolside, sarah and her special moods, evian water!!!, calliea dancing like a stripper...then all of us dancing like strippers...hahaha, ang attracting more attention with that booty of hers, "we have gone over the edge...we have no edge...we have a high cliff...nooo...we are sphere, there are no edges!!!...volume is 4*pi*r^3...no its 4/3 *pi*r^3...and a sphere has high surface to volume ratio!", day 2 with heels = losing sensation in feet indefinately...

...dying of starvation again on sunday morning, waiting forever long for champaigne brunch inside the paris france hotel, more delayed flights resulted in 3.5 hours chillaxin at the las vegas airport, watching gymnastics on the airport t.v., contemplating paying .25 cents per minute to use the internet since i haven't been near a computer for nearly 4 days, sitting at the front of line B even though everyone else around us got up, sharing stories of how our parents say we came about (aka adopted, found in the dumpster, etc. etc.) and having people all around stare at us.

now with the feet issue:   its so sad because i've only just gained some sensation back in my feet and its almost been a week too.  its rather scary..never had my feet be this numb and in pain before..you could jab a sharp knife into my foot and i don't think i would have felt anything.  but now..they only feel bloated.  the numbness has abated but the pain still lingers.  never wearing heels again...i put all blame on killa.

if i left any out, girls, lemme know! hahaha.  definately a trip to remember:  insane desert weather, one meal a day where we die almost twice, once due to starvation and the other due to stuffing the face, 6 hours of sleep, 8+ hours in heels, 5 hours of dancing a each night...ahhaah such memories!

  • puahahahaa.  vegas was awesome...oh man!  ahhaa more details later. hehee

  • fine..due to encouragement by the sandwich freak's supplier...here is the update *caution:  long update since the lack of update from before* :

LA was interesting.  if you know me, then you know i've always been fascinated by LA for some odd reasons.  maybe its because disneyland is in so cal, maybe its the shopping, or maaaaaaaaaaybe...just maybe t.v. has had some LITTLE influence  (okok, i lie...t.v. has a lot of influence to it...and again, if you know me, i live my life vicariously through t.v. )...but something was different this time that made me not have such normally warm and fuzzy feelings towards so cal.

during the 4 days...things were great...don't get me wrong. it was fun hanging out with richard, charles and co. south of downtown LA. it was fun going to malibu at midnight and walking on hella soft sand with kathy and some of her friends (might i add, a really really really nice girl called erica).  and of course it was way groovy hanging out with alan at marina del rey and going swimming and eating and looking around for places (hollywood and venice beach) and living life as a housewife. hehe.  yeah, things were great...the sights, everything.  but i dunno...just being down there those 4 days left me with such an empty feeling.  besides certain areas of glamour and glitz (aka beverly hills, downtown LA, westwood), a lot of it wasn't what i imagined.  and no, this wasn't my first time down to LA but i guess i've only really seen it now.  and i dunno..feels like a lot of people are really superficial down there and they really just give off the impression of "lets talk about me me me and waht i have and what i own and what i wear and what i drive and blah blah blah".  and the traffic was horrendous...because stupid people like to drive all separately in their own BMW or mercedes to show off their social status i guess...stupid people...car pool dammit and spare the air.  sheeesh.    i dunno..its not like i didn't know about the bad traffic and the superficialness...but i guess i just feel it more.  i felt like there was no substance in the place at all.  just plastic and silicone.  oh yeah, and stupid girls in little ass white skirts and high ass heels parading down westwood in like pretty chill weather...ummm...yeaaaah.

but besides all that...had a fun time getting $1.25 vietnamese sandwiches in west minster and dude, were those the best sandwiches i've ever had...dunno if it was the price or actually the sandwich but it was daaaaaaaaaaamn good. hahaa.  i had kathy bring me back 3 when she came back up, hence, the alias name of sandwich freak's supplier . hahaha.

also had a fine time, as i mentioned above, putting my future profession into practice - domestic engineer - minus the cooking and cleaning and laundry and stuff. ahahhaa.    ahaha.  by the time i woke up (usually around 1pm or 2 pm), alan was of course off to work in the city by then, and so i lounged around, watched some t.v., made the bed and cleaned up a little, got ready, went to go work out at the hotel, then went for a little bit of sunbathing and swimming in the awesome pool there, and then came back and got ready to go out to dinner (mmMMmm C&O and cheeeeeeesecake factory) when alan came back home at 6.  hehe it was fantabulous!

flying to so cal was fun.  now..dunno if i have been watching too much alias recently or whatever, but felt like i was on an operation for some important rambaldi mission. ahahhaa. j/k j/k.  yes, too much alias.  but yeah, it was awesome cause i've never flown short distance before like that.  or at least hardly.  it was awesome.  hehee.

next time...gonna update about my day of blindness and dive deeper into what i mean when i say dilated pupils are no fun. hahaha.    <-- that was me on monday. ahaha

  • to the sandwich freak supplier:   why were you up at 3:24 am last night commenting on xangas when you should have been sleeping??? hmMMmmMM????

  • oooooOOh los angeles.  *sigh*

  • so i can't even begin to describe the whole new and different world that i have seen today.  and what is it that made me see things literally in a new light?   drum rolls please...........

its all because I NOW HAVE CONTACTS AND I DON'T WALK AROUND BLIND ANYMORE!!!! muahahaha. hahahahaha.  yes folks...no more walking around blind, no more squinting like crazy and making people think i am mugging them...no more not being able to see anything around me, including guys that i think are hot...ahhaha.  yes...i have entered the world of SIGHT! hahahaa.

yes, so i went to the optometry center in the tang and the people there were awesome.  the guy who did my check up was way cool and he actually inserted my contacts for me in the beginning.  then he made me take them out by myself and put them back in by myself. hahaha i did it in like less than 2 minutes!  whoo hoo. normally it takes forever for me to put in/take out contacts...or it did back in 9th grade at least...but yeah! hehe i can see and it feels really cool.  it was funny because when the guy was giving me the check-up, he was like WOW, you walk around with no glasses on?  ahha and i'm like, yeah.  then he's all, so..when do you wear your glasses then?  do you wear them when you drive?  and i'm like uh...not really. hahaha then he goes to say, well, next time you drive, let me know so that i can stay off the road!  ahahha how mean!

but yeah, contacts are actually cool.  i mean, they are a lot more comfortable than i had imagined and like yeah..apparently i don't have a problem probing my eyeballs because he's like wow, i've tapped your eyeballs several times and you didn't blink.  uhhhh....yeah, kinda weird...or maybe i was just too freaked out to blink...hahaha.... yeah..i kinda looked like <---that smiley face.

  • i don't think i've ever loved summer more.  nope...NEVER.  so much free time, so much relaxation, so little pressure, no rushing, no feeling of wasting time...oh man.  its fantasmic!  but sometimes i feel that there's just so much to look forward to that its starting to scare me because the good times will soon be over...i mean, after la, after vegas, after the big apple, and after taiwan, its back to serious studying again and i want to partake in none of that! (realistically, its still like 7 months away but still)  i remember during the past semester, i was soOoOoOo looking forward to summer and everything, and don't get me wrong, summer is grand!!!...but i feel like the fun times are slowly slipping away already and soon enough, it'll be hell again...ahaha...and it has only been 2 weeks since i've gotten out...

so yeah...gonna be heading down to so cal next monday.  if anyone is free to meet up with me, that would be most awesomest.  =)  i'll probably be staying til friday, june 17th...because by that time, all you so cal cats would be up at berkeley again for the start of session C and that would be no fun w/o you cool cats.  so yeah...lemme know!

  • summer is grand.  days of laziness cannot get better.  been doing a lot of nothing lately and i love it.  haven't done nothing in so loooooooooong.  *sigh*.  i don't want summer school to start.  bleh.  ee100 sounds so damn annoying. ugh. ladjf;asjlf  anyway...hopefully i'll get to watch harry potter today.  LOOKS SO GOOD!!!

been watching alias lately (season 1 on dvd at blockbuster) and its such a great show  i used to not like jennifer garner because of the character she played on felicity, but now i think she's kick ass...and she does literally kick ass.  motivates me to go to the gym more and try to be kick ass just like her.  .  but then again, reality sets in and i can't possibly wake up at 4:30 am just to go for a run. ahhaah no way.  i can't even wake up at 9:30 for my cardio kickboxing class. hhaha.  if you like 24, you'll love alias too.  its so like...gut-wrenching. hahaa.  thank goodness for the freedom pass at blockbuster for only $24.99 a month.  unlimited renting and no return dates.  how great is that?!  ahah

so everyone has been talking about the da vinci code book for a while now and i wanna read too. hahaha.  i've been looking for a good book to read cause i haven't read one in years...well at least not for entertainment values that is...and i dunno.  so yeah, after i finish harry potter #5, then its off to the da vinci code for i.  yay!
